Steve Bentheim, PH.D. is editor of the Satir Journal. He has been an instructor of family therapy and ethical decision-making in the human services and co-chair of the cross-cultural committee at the University of Victoria. His clinical practice has been primarily with survivors of child abuse.
A professional member of the Satir Institute of the Pacific, his long-term interest is in psychology and spirituality. He recently completed "Spirituality in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy" for the Level III training program of the Satir Institute of the Pacific. He has contributed to Diversity, Culture and Counseling: a Canadian Perspective (France, et al., 2004), and was an editor of Illumine, the graduate publication at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the University of Victoria.
Steve presently sees clients through the Community and Family Services branch of the Salvation Army.
