Dr. John Banmen is the Director of Training for the Satir Institute of the Pacific, founding president of the B.C. Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, former board member of AAMFT, Avanta, the B.C. Psychological Association and associate professor at the University of British Columbia and the University of Hong Kong.

One of Virginia Satir’s principle trainers, he has co-authored The Satir Model; Family Therapy and Beyond (1991), Meditations and Inspirations (1985), and has edited Meditations of Virginia Satir; Peace Within, Peace Between, Peace Among (2003), and Applications of the Satir Growth Model (2006).

He presently offers therapeutic training in North and South America, Asia and Europe and has a private practice in Delta, British Columbia, Canada.
